Executive Director
The Executive Director of Volunteering Untapped ATX is responsible for the planning, organization, and direction of the organization's operations and programs. They develop and implement consistent policies and operational metrics, oversee the organization’s performance for the board of directors, and lead board members to support all departments effectively. Additionally, the Executive Director coordinates with the Director of Finance for budget reviews and forecasts, promotes staff and volunteer development, and exemplifies strong leadership and management skills.

Positions require 5-10 hours per month, virtual and/or in person

Attend monthly board meetings, virtual and/or in person

Attend 7 out of 12 VU ATX events during your term

Pay annual Board Member dues, based on a sliding scale

Board member terms are limited to two consecutive years; may continue if majority of board votes for additional consecutive year(s)

Executive Director Skills
-
Responsible for planning, organization, and direction of the organization’s operations and programs.

Develops and implements consistent inventory and cost accounting policies, procedures, and operational reporting/metrics.

Oversees and reports on the organization’s results for board of directors.

Provides leadership to and manages the efforts of board members to ensure appropriate support of all departments.

Supports the development of operations-based financial modeling.

Coordinates with Director of Finance for annual budget reviews, monthly and quarterly reviews, and periodic forecast updates with operational and senior management for all locations.

Retains a diverse, highly qualified staff and volunteers by providing opportunities for growth, skill development, and personal development for board members.

Demonstrates leadership and management skills.
